RN Supervisor Full time position Solomons, MD General Purpose:
Provides oversight of the care/services provided by Geriatric Nursing Assistants/Certified Nursing Assistants/Certified Medication Technicians and LPNs to Interim HealthCare clients.
Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Services to develop and implement processes to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of client outcomes in accordance with physician orders, applicable law and regulations, accepted standards of clinical practice, payor requirements and client policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
(Action Daily - D or as Needed, Weekly - W, Monthly M, Quarterly Q, Annually - A) Supervises, evaluates, motivates and develops professional and paraprofessional employees.
(D) Provides guidance to employees to deliver client care in accordance with current acceptable standards of nursing practice.
(D) Provides guidance to employees to deliver client care in accordance with applicable law and regulation.
(D) In collaboration with Director of Clinical Services, ensures that health care team members are oriented, trained, and competent in the care/services they are required to provide.
(D) Provides immediate assistance or additional training to clinical employees in order to ensure timely provision of competent care.
(D) Keeps current with trends and advancements in the delivery of care in the home relevant to the type of client population served.
(M) Supervises multidisciplinary healthcare team members using direct (ie, on-site visits) and indirect (ie, chart review, analysis of client satisfaction and other reports) techniques.
Identifies trends and implements employee performance improvement activities as indicated.
(D) Provides education to team members regarding effectively managing the client's condition.
(D) Reviews proposed and revised plans of care to ensure they meet client's home care needs, establish realistic and measurable goals.
(D) Performs comprehensive assessments of clients to verify initial or ongoing home care needs.
(D) Responsible for overseeing and managing Medication Management services for clients.
(D) Effectively communicates with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team providing care to promote coordination of client care.
(D) Follows accepted standards of clinical practice.
(D) Uses clinical decision making to provide oversight and guidance to the healthcare team to efficiently and effectively manage the assigned client population.
(D) Identifies opportunities to improve the quality of overall client care and collaborates with Director of Clinical Services to implement improvement plans.
(M) Contributes to business growth by presenting information, education and support to external customers as requested.
(M, Q,A) Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program.
(M) Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
(D) May have access to personal health information (PHI) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities.
Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
(D) Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice as an RN in the state in which employed.
License is active and in good standing.
Prefer at least two (2) years of experience as a home care RN and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Able to provide proof of valid driver's license, in accordance with office policy.
Able to provide proof of valid auto liability insurance in accordance with office policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to the care of the client.
Able to visually and aurally observe and assess the client.
Able to perform CPR.
Able to demonstrate basic understanding of computers and workplace software as applicable.
Able to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the workforce, both clinical and non-clinical.
Able to perform and prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
Able to effectively deal with multiple changes based on office's needs and scheduling.
Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach freely and assist clients with standing and walking.

Able to lift, reposition, and transfer clients.
Meets applicable health requirements to provide client care.
Appropriately accesses, use and discloses of personal health information (PHI) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities in accordance with office policy.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work is normally performed in a variety of settings including the office, client's home settings.
Able to constantly travel locally from assignment to assignment.
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens and/or other potentially infectious or hazardous materials, and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Able to constantly grasp with thumb in opposition to fingers of palm, ie manipulate pen, knobs or objects.
Medium physical activity that may require occasional lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.
in order to carry out daily job functions and related activities that may be required.
Able to work flexible schedule and/or evening hours as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
