Receptionist

Job Responsibilities:

Greets, directs and provides appropriate resources to residents and visitors.

Manages incoming call queue.

Monitors, screens and unlocks exterior doors by utilizing camera s and security system.

Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.

Coordinates service/maintenance calls.

Accepts and generates work orders as necessary and forwards to the maintenance department.

Answers all incoming calls within five (5) rings (except during emergencies) with the standard greeting.

Maintains and coordinates with vendors, Trouble Logs for telephone and TV repairs.

Schedules use of public rooms, coordinating with Housekeeping and Dining Services departments.

Distributes incoming mail to appropriate departments.

Signs for packages from UPS and FedEx.

Maintains and monitors Key Log.

Faxes, copies and stamps mail as requested by residents for appropriate fee.

Provides a Marketing information form to prospective residents when a member of Marketing is not available.

Coordinates with Housekeeping and Maintenance via radio as appropriate.

Serves as central communications during emergencies.

Maintains Absence from Asbury Solomons Island record.

Provides Transportation Book to residents to sign up for trips on a first come basis. Collects fees and provides a receipt if applicable.

Maintains work area in a clean, safe and attractive fashion.

Follows established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

Adheres to Standards of Attendance.

Performs other duties, as assigned.

Experience:

One year of reception experience with heavy public contact, or in a security monitoring environment, required.

Education:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
