The Warehouse Specialist shall provide strong organizational, planning, business management, inventory control, safeguarding warehouse operations, security procedures and protocols skills in support of the FRC ASE program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages.
Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
Examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Remove material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Operate hand or power trucks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 or more years of experience in a warehouse, logistical, or similar environment. Experience in federal government facility.
Must obtain forklift license within 90 days of hire date.
Forklift license requirements (DoT physical and Forklift license certification) must meet within 90 days of hire date.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills, to include Internet, Microsoft Office, and email. Familiarity with web-based procurement software.
Understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Ability to use Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Must have the ability to pass an in-depth customer background check in addition to the standard employment background check.
Have knowledge of safety standards.
Must have Excellent Customer Service.
Possess Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess knowledge of all regulated requirements related to hazardous material/hazardous waste management.
Must have the ability to respond immediately to the customer for emergencies that could occur.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
